Abstrakt

W pracy badano polikrystaliczny granat itrowo-glinowy domieszkowany chromem (Cr:YAG), wytwarzany metodą spiekania reakcyjnego w próżni tlenków glinu, itru i chromu. Jako dodatki stabilizujące jony Cr4+ zastosowano tlenek magnezu oraz tlenek wapnia. Potwierdzono, że Mg2+, jak i Ca2+, mogą służyć jako jony kompensujące ładunek, a także jako dodatki ułatwiające spiekanie. Zbadano wpływ zawartości jonów Ca2+ i Mg2+ oraz wygrzewania w powietrzu po spiekaniu na mikrostrukturę i właściwości spektroskopowe wytwarzanych materiałów. Określono również wpływ dodatku krzemu na właściwości spektroskopowe Cr:YAG. Widma emisyjne Cr:YAG, otrzymane przy pobudzaniu promieniowaniem o długości fali 450 nm, zmieniały się wraz z warunkami wygrzewania w powietrzu. Zwiększanie temperatury lub czasu wygrzewania w powietrzu powodowało stopniowy wzrost poziomu emisji w zakresie około 1400 nm, co można przypisać zmianie stopnia utlenienia jonów chromu z Cr3+  do Cr4+. Zmiany te były znacznie słabsze w przypadku materiałów otrzymanych z dodatkiem jonów krzemu, co świadczy o niepożądanej stabilizacji chromu na trzecim stopniu utlenienia  przez krzem.
